When we start out in the music industry, we are full of ideas and dreams. We know what we want and everything is fresh. However, after many knock backs, and let downs sometimes the dream starts to fade and the ideas dry up.
At this point we have a choice to make. Do we continue down the path we have taken, change careers or settle and "sell-out" Its not easy but we have to remember why we started in the first place.
Only the ones who really want it can make it. it may take longer, it will definitely be harder but it is achievable. The days of the Major Labels signing artists to large contracts are gone. If you want it bad enough, forget abot being discovered by a major label A&R rep, there are too many artists out there trying to do the same thing. You have to think outside the box.
Develop your own style do not try to emulate other artists who are already established. Its ok to "cover" some of their material to get yourself noticed but you have to be unique, develop a fan base, do free lots of free shows to get yourself out there and never stop marketing yourself.
